@takingcare_ofgranny: Replying to @Trena Whitlock really? You’ve never had to take care of a loved one before #fyp #granny #dementia #dementiasucks #caregiver
People are ridiculous… when you are a caregiver, you are subject to everything.

Amen! My SIL is a nurse, thank the God Lord! I was in a terrible wreck that left me bedbound and completely immobile for almost a year. I lived in a hospital bed at home! I was so blessed that my son in law would do things for me that no one should ever have to do..my husband, my son, my daughters and daughter in law...all had to. We have just had to move on and sometimes laugh.

I never wanted to have to see my Dad but when it came time and he needed me I did what needed to be done and I tried to do with as much grace and with dignity as I could. Well spoken response!!!💜💜💜

Some people have no idea that caring for our elder family is something we’ve never been prepared for. The first time I had to wipe my own mother’s bottom (non mobile dementia) was never on my vision board. Loving them and caring for them means we “prepare ourselves” and do what has to be done. Good on you for all you do ❤️

That’s such a non issue!!! Wiping, bathing, dressing etc is part of the process and far from anything to be concerned about!!

Being in medical field you don’t look at things “like that”. Caregivers are no different it was an urgent situation that needed to be handled. Period!!

People who have never had to take care of a parent, or anyone, they have no clue. If I had to do this all over again to have my mother here, please sign me up.
