There are some odd cases where it won't work right but far as I know as long as your coax setup isn't ancient, the other situations usually won't be an issue. And the rewards can be VERY good vs wifi. Near ethernet speeds and latency.

I’ve set this up in multiple homes for my personal use. As long as you aren’t actually running your cable tv through the COAX cable that you want to use. It should work. Before installing our mesh WiFi was alright to weak. After, we have great WiFi everywhere. 400+ MB download. I have absolutely no problem gaming now. It really made a difference

I use MoCA adapter, I have sunbeam brand and it’s good! It does increase my speed as well. It’s very straightforward to setup too. No software required. Only gotta plug the stuff in
