I do the same thing but that's just the first step, the second step would be looking at its sell through rate & begin to determine what it's worth & is it worth selling on eBay. Your example didn't help its value because it seemed to have a fair to low sell through so it's not really worth selling but it all is part of the evaluation formula, let's go 😁

Well, I sold a plush once for $160 cause apparently was rare. I didn’t find any comps for that plush, I just saw the exact same plush posted for $168 from smb else and I thought ok let’s try it.

If I were sourcing I would take a picture in eBay to see similar. Than I would copy and paste to refine the search. I immediately go to sold comps to get a 90 day estimate of $$$ and quantity to see the sell thru rate. Also at what $ amount does the sentimental value give in to hmmmm I’ll sell it?

so 4 people sell same thing and they all under price the other guy. expecting to sell their item first.. now the item is down to a shit price. you look up solds and it's not worth selling .
