In the same movie her heard Jimmy Olsens camera tracker from another continent, & we know he's fast enough to react to and tag flash. At worst I'd expect Superman to react fast enough to be a body shield or minimize the damage, but just standing still is crazy

My only contention with this is just the speed aspect how the hell can homelander react to a damn explosion and get everyone out of an area but Superman can't even get one person based on how the flash perceives things Superman should be able to at least after the initial explosion and the shock gets out of his way save at least a couple people

Thats the look of someone who was too busy trying to figure out what people thought of him which as a result made him drop his guard. He trusted them and got played being fully aware that he could have prevented the situation, those deaths haunt him.

And the beautiful thing about him is he doesn't blame anyone else but himself for the failure. He helps get the survivors out and once he understands that no one wants him there anymore he leaves. He doesn't once blame anyone.

people need to realize is when it comes to being a superhero everything and everybody isn’t going to be saved I know that’s the depiction they like to go for on cartoons and certain movies but this is the reality if superheroes were to be real everybody can’t be saved, and this was the depiction they were going for here in this movie Superman is looked at as a god yet he didn’t see the bomb. It clearly shows his humanity and that even he isn’t perfect.
