As a Black woman I feel like this Love Island discourse has lifted a veil from my eyes. I used to carry a chip on my shoulder toward women of other races because of the media I was consuming. But after seeing certain discussions and the hate being spewed, it pushed me to dig deep and confront some of the resentment I’ve held toward others.
