@mygutculture: In order to successfully heal Candida, you MUST remove the root cause. The root cause are the foods 🍔🌭🌮🌯🥪🍕🍟🍝🥞🍩🍰and the habits that are feeding the Candida overgrowth in your body. You can kill yeast with herbs or antifungals, but if you don’t remove what caused the imbalance, it’ll come back. Ayurveda looks at why the overgrowth happened: • Low digestive fire (agni) • Excess kapha (damp, sticky, heavy internal environment) • Poor food combinations • Suppressed emotions or stress • Irregular routines or sleep • Antibiotic overuse (which destroys the gut flora) 👉 Treating the root means restoring order to the entire system, not just wiping out microbes. Meaning you really want to focus 80% or more of your energy on this step alone. Really key in on every single thing that you consume and determine if it could be feeding the Candida even the slightest bit. Sometimes this can be tricky especially if you haven’t studied food characteristics so it’s important to work with an Ayurvedic Practitioner or Doctor for proper guidance or you will waste precious time, energy, and money. Then end up having to do it all over again (speaking from personal experience).
