This is why I refuse to learn how to code. If I wanted to learn esoteric incantations that affect inanimate objects but could suddenly go wrong in unforeseeable ways based on the whims of fate and my inability to always do everything with full competence and perfect understanding of every way it may interact with what already exists, I would just do witchcraft.

I was working on a chat system. In theory none of the code ever touches any other code. Somehow all the elevators in my game stopped working when the chat system was being used. The amount of absolute bewildered gesturing at my screen I have done while trying to figure out what happened 😭😭
