plot twist movies evolve too. i watched unbreakable for the first time before a few years ago. the "big reveal" that all the accidents were caused by glass wasn't a reveal at all, i knew that was the case from the beginning it was obvious to me, but I think an older generation wouldn't have seen it coming and felt betrayed

He’s right, but there’s a difference between suspense and horror. Some of those movies were suspense and were all about the tension throughout. Some of them were horror and had a ton of gore.

my father tried showing me scary movies as a kid and was frustrated when i laughed at poltergeist and ghost but quickly countered w children of the corn and i slept w the lights on for a month. just takes the right movie tbh
