RageFest :
exhale slowly out of your nose! that way the air bubble keeps water out of your nostrils but you still get to hold your breath.

Idk how to explain this better I can open and close the place where your nose connects inside your mouth and then blow air out as I ascend to surface

i used to be so good at going under for minutes at a time as a kid other parents at the swimming class would become horribly concerned until i popped out fine

when i was like four my dad would have me clutch to his arm and would dunk me in and out of the water, and toss me away and swim over to him. learned to release air underwater and gasp when i could quickly and plugging my nose wasn’t an issue. also used to be able to look up under water without water getting in my nose, until i was baptized.. still wonder what made that happen tbh. maybe the holy spirit took away my mermaid powers idk

I actually practiced holding my breath w/o holding my nose in the tub as a kid. Hold your nose, hold your breath as long as possible. Then over time, once underwater, slowly loosen ur grip on your nose while holding ur core to not breath

Hard exhale as you go under, keep some air in your lungs, but try to keep it still. Exhale a little bit when you start feeling the need to breathe in. Continue until you’re out of air. Resurface.

I always hum! It blows the air out (slowly) and prevents water from getting in

I honestly have no clue but like just... close the back of your nose??? kinda like how otters close their ears. It feels like you're just using the muscles in the back of your nose/throat to close your sinuses off

When you go under water breathe some of the air out of your nose so the water doesn’t go up and when you come out blow out your nose and then breathe thru your mouth so you aren’t getting water in there. Hope this makes sense

when I was a lifeguard and a swim instructor I'd teach my kids to blow short 1-2 second bubbles and hold on to the rest. when you need to blow more bubbles do so. I don't know how to explain it in text or to someone who's not 7 I'm sorry 😭

I do a weird thing where I make a "duck face" so I can block the water from going up my nose, while slowly exhaling. it's like a one way valve lol
