We flew on a private charter organized by @K9 JETS and flown by the operator @Pegasus Elite Aviation. It was $9950 (plus a wire transfer fee) for 1 seat for me and my dog and 30kg of luggage. We flew out of a private airport in Milan and landed in a private airport in NJ which allowed Maggie to have the most relaxed experience possible. It also included a three course meal, unlimited snacks, drinks, champagne, etc. The staff were amazing and our flight attendant Leticia was wonderful. I also felt really secure knowing our pilot was USAF trained. One question im getting a lot is why spend that on a PJ instead of donating it and I want to answer this is a few stages. 1. I am not offended that anyone asks this and I don’t mind explaining. ❤️ 2. Maggie has a heart condition making it unsafe for her to fly in general but certainly in cargo would be horrible. Even if she was in good health, there are too many horrific accidents with cargo pet transit. I would never risk my girl like that. 3. The money came from her social media accounts so why would I not spend it on her. 4. Maggie’s page has raised almost $80k for shelters and rescues around the world. I work closely with 2 dog rescues specifically and fundraise for them directly. I also donate a percent of my own annual earnings to shelters, animal conservation, and welfare orgs. And I donate to a shelter or rescue in every country I travel to and have done this for 8 years. Just because I spent $10k on getting my dog back home safely does not mean I have neglected to do good for other animals in need. It means I prioritize my own dog’s wellbeing first as she is my responsibility. I promised her a safe and comfy life when I adopted her and I won’t ever feel bad for giving that to her. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
