Hello, I’m a Canadian permanent resident and have been living in Canada for the past two and a half years. I’m also the spouse of a U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) who entered the U.S. through a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV). We’ve been married since 2022. I applied under the F2A category, and My immigrant visa interview is scheduled at the U.S. Consulate in Montreal on September 2, 2025. However, I’m very concerned about the impact of the current travel ban that affects Afghan citizens, as I am Afghan as well. It has been extremely difficult being separated from my husband for so long, and I truly need to join him in the U.S. as soon as possible. I would like to know: do I meet the requirements to apply for a waiver at the time of my interview, or should I take other steps beforehand?

question when u have your work permit on AOS and then u get your green card do u always have to provide your work permit when working or just the green card is fine ?

Got detained by ICE, I retained Brad law firm to help me but unfortunately they failed to do their job and help me get out, they took 11,000$ from me but didn’t do nothing at all, waste my time, screw my life , he works with lazy ladies like Lawanda and Shanon who talks more than working, playing with people life, don’t really care if you get deported, just care about their money only but even upon received the money, they waste your time time for months without doing nothing, without no application till ICE deport you. Be really careful, they cause extreme harship to me and my lil kids after living in US for 23 year with no criminal record and got deported to my country because of neglecting so called lawyers who doesn’t care about your case. I’m requesting to be refund at least 6000$ cause they didn’t applied for what I paid for, they killed the time till ICE deport me and then they close my case and keep my money. They talk more than they work. Be careful ❗️❗️❗️.
