Big girl room reveal 🌼 I’ve designed a lot of “big kid” rooms over the years, and the trick is always finding a look that feels fun but still timeless. When I asked Penny what she wanted, she said flower wallpaper—so we went on a year-long mission to find one she actually loved. 💐 We finally found this peel-and-stick wallpaper from @Tempaper & Co. and instantly fell in love. That set the tone for the rest of the room—color palette, theme, all of it. 🎨 Instead of one accent wall like I did in the other girls’ room, I went all in with board and batten (normally Shane’s job, but I gave it a go myself 💪). I used 1x3s across the top and thin 2” lattice strips from @lowes. Super simple, budget-friendly, and easy to install! Wall color: Alabaster by @sherwinwilliams —my go-to warm white. I even painted behind the wallpaper to avoid any green showing through the seams (pro tip: always paint your wall a color close to your wallpaper just in case!). For styling, I leaned into the vintage daisy vibe with mustard and rattan accents. I also added some 3D daisies on the wall and fun pillows to keep it playful 🌼 ✨ Want links to everything?
