So today she gave a 2 week notice and a Republican passed away this weekend. That makes it even again until an election. Will there be a special vote for both of these seats? Could just leave them open?

I do think she should resign but I’m torn on automatic expulsion for being convicted of a felony. It depends on the felony. Currently, people engaged in nonviolent protests at ICE detention centers are being arrested on felony trespass charges. There’s potential for automatic expulsion for a felony to be used as a political weapon and to curtail elected officials ability to resist injustices

I live in Woodbury and I’m pretty sure it will stay blue. Our city tends to always say yes to School bonds and taking care of each other so I don’t get the vibe that will change.

mmm i think felons should be allowed to serve. not necessarily her. but i don’t think the exclusion of felons from govt is completely appropriate given the racist exist nature of it society.
