Women are UNDERTREATED for menopause! Every other hormonal deficiency is treated with hormones: thyroid; insulin; etc etc

I feel terrible for all the women who avoided HRT because they were worried about cancer risks

My older sister had hormone therapy for 15 years. I refused it because of the so called cancer risks. The difference in our quality of life is so noticeable to everyone around d us. She is 8 years older than me and looks a decade younger than me in every way.

If i went on estrogen too late— like AFTER i have been experiencing the forgetting names and words, etc, is it too late? Did I miss the window to prevent Alzheimer’s?

So does that mean, putting oneself into ketosis through diet? Will keep the body away from the white matter looking for ketones?

This first part gives ALL employers information as to why they should fire a women over 55. They are looking to get rid of us for being old, this just is fuel for the fire. Less ability to regulate our glucose, our white matter declines in our brain, we can’t recall information. Why would they keep us employed?

I am so grateful that I switched to Keto back in 2018, before I started having perimenopause symptoms. I’m never going back.

sorry, trying to understand, does this mean at menopause women shift from burning glucose to ketone? if ao, would a low carb diet be best in that stage of life?

So basically what I’m hearing is: women experiencing menopause should eat a low carb diet in order to naturally produce ketones for the brain to use as fuel in stead of carobogydrates, and in doing so save the white matter in their brains.

So if you can’t tolerate hormone therapy for medical reasons, you’re doomed? I see lots of elderly women who do not have dementia and never took HRT (they tend to be physically active, eat well and have rich social lives so I don’t think it’s just the one thing…)

I have to give props to my NP - she was v much against HRT when I first asked so I dropped it - the next time I asked she was on board because she read something, did some reviewing of studies and CHANGED HER MIND. 🙃 Mind blown.

Is this why tirzepatide helps brain symptoms in pre-menopausal women? Because it helps the body utilize glucose by becoming sensitize to insulin again? So your brain doesn’t have to eat itself ?

And now all of this research halts due to administration policy to prohibit any research that references women or gender.

I’m 51 and in perimenopause with minor symptoms so far: irregular periods, dry eyes and mouth, minor joint pain. Should I take HRT as a preventative measure for later?
