crazy that it's always the unhealthy junk food and food kids love that is yummy and easy to eat and all of the food kids don't want to try is the food he's magically got a problem with. Almost like it's just bad parenting and stubbornness and all psychological.

People need to realize ARFID is different from picky eating. It's very much correlated with autism, and you'll find a large majority of people with arfid, especially severe cases, WOULD rather starve which can lead to health complications. ARFID is far more complex and persistent than picky eating, and a quick google search will give you plenty of information on the matter.

Arfid is questionable at this point. Tries literally everything. Not my son he's 5 and went form eating everything to absolutely nothing,just a cpl things. Texture,smell,looks, and so on. if we're lucky enough the taste. It's extremely hard to describe and deal with most days,but we just roll with it.

Not enough people are aware of arfid and play it off as picky, but its hard to explain to people that its not I don’t want some foods, but I can’t physically eat, or some see/smell certain foods without being sick.
