@kerrymcavoyphd: Replying to @slayyourway Manipulative and exploitative people adopt two roles very effectively— 1. the Victim, and 2. the Martyr. These roles prey on victims’ compassionate natures, making leaving incredibly difficult. If someone you love seems stuck, remember: they’re not weak—they’re trauma-bonded. Patience and compassion are more powerful than pressure. #narcissisticabuse #traumabonding #toxicrelationships #leavinganarcissist #survivorstories #emotionalabuse #mentalhealthmatters

My bestie would call me for a reality check.. She'd tell me the situation then ask if I thought her reaction was crazy. it never was he was gaslighting her. She shared with me cause I never judged her not did I tell her to leave..I was just there.

You require healthy narcissism to be autonomous. Those in denial of theirs or projecting onto others are disempowered and mostly codependent… if rejected they tend to become vindictive narcissists and want to punish those that don’t validate their ego.
