im due in 7 weeks and ive told my fiance that if they say they have to take our daughter out of the room for any tests that can't be done in our room he is to follow beside them so that he has his eyes on her at all times. we aren't risking anything even with safety precautions/security.

Told Eric under zero circumstances was Eric to let them leave with our son and not him too. I did NOT want him left alone, and I have zero idea why but my anxiety was at an all time high

When my son was first born, this nurse who wasn’t certified took my son to do his shots apparently, he was gone for 3 hours in the middle of the night! I kid you not I woke up to my actual nurse pushing him back in saying your baby is back he is safe, everything is okay! I was freaking out I woke my husband up screaming because what do you mean someone came in and just took my baby!

I myself and my husband let our son go to the nursery a lot and had no issues at all with any nurses and this was our first baby.

Can you explain why it’s so bad for a nurse to take your baby? Why is it such a huge deal? I’m not trying to criticize I am genuinely curious and would like to be educated on the matter

When my first child was born, they requested to remove her to bring to a mini classroom that they had for students. They invited me to come along to watch as well. I was happy to consent and I was able to watch. They just broke down some anatomy/newborn basic with the nursing students. ❤️they also made me aware that I could say no if it made me uncomfortable. I was always in control.

At public hospitals in Romania, if you give birth naturally, they bring you the baby after 2–3 hours, while after a C-section, it takes about 24 hours. Note that companions are not allowed inside the hospital.

when my twins were born we kept them in our room except for once the night before we left. they took my babies at night like 3 am to do their car seat test after I told them I wanted it done during the day so my husband could go with them. they told me they would not be able to accommodate that and they would be taking them at some point during the night. lucky for me I personally knew the night nurse (she was my cousins wife so family) that came to get them so I felt better about it. my question is is this normal? i understand that Because they were so little they had to have the test but is that one that can be done in the room?

My son didn’t leave the room once for any test & he had a small bracelet that would sound off if it was tugged or if he was close to the door. My hospital tag was the only thing to disarm it.

I gave birth to both my kids in different states and they never even asked to take my kid out of the room. They did everything right there so I was able to watch everything and be right there

my husband agreed with me without us ever having a conversation I just said "if a nurse goes to take the baby-" and he immediately said "no, it's getting done in the room where we both can see, or they're gonna have to deal with me being their shadow. our baby will not leave my sight, and if I can help it, your side." I have a severe anxiety disorder, so yeah, I'm not going to want my baby out of my sight of it can be helped

I gave birth in 2022 and they took my baby back despite my reservations I sent my husband along. They washed her hair with a soapy rag and she wasn’t even 12 hrs old while they were checking her and I was SO mad. When I have my boy in September he’s staying in my room period.

My second baby didn’t leave expect one time for a test. Everything else was done in the room though. She even had her first bath in the room with us. My first baby did leave more than once because I was so exhausted. I had been in labor for 32hrs and I needed the breaks tbh. Plus my husband did make sure to check on her regularly at the nursery
