I read this study where IT are most likely the closest one to becoming homeless😭 and by 2030 most degrees that are correlated to anything digital, will have the lowest employment rate because of how AI are literally taking their jobs😭

Im an incoming cs freshmen and I enrolled to cs as my alternative course, not because of no choice, but it was one of the courses I find it interesting alongside engineering (prio course), especially programming. But at the same time, I’m scared to take it because I am more inclined to Math and Sciences. Moreover, I noticed that programming is something you can self teach and possibly land a job that I am questioning whether to switch to chemical engineering after 1st year 😕. I do plan on starting to learn basic programming but I am a bit overwhelmed that there’s a lot of concepts and languages to study that I may not be good at programming and would much rather solve math equations on a paper. Plus, I’ve searched on what a computer science exam looked like and I’m already regretting that it is something I cannot answer, not even an inch of a thought. And I compared it with some engineering exams and I find myself leaning with engineering exams that I may find it enjoyable and actually solve. If possible, can you give me some tips for this course? Any recos and tips will absolutely be helpful! Nonetheless, I hope I get to survive and end up loving this course even after graduating 🙏🏻 . Thank you for taking your time!
