The bagged pizza salad is great. They have marinated fresh chicken, especially the pesto, that I love. The cacio de peppe ravioli with their Tuscan hard cheese is excellent. The sun-dried tomato focaccia is a fave with any salad. I eat pretty clean simple food, not frozen premade and shop almost exclusively at TJ’s.

I used to live right near a Trader Joe’s, and I would walk in there and walk out with an empty cart. I tried some things, but it just was never all that great in my opinion.

Did you go to Trader Joe’s in Santa Rosa? There’s also one in Petaluma closer to Sonoma or Napa. (They might be different) I live in Sonoma make sure you go to the Farmers Market on Tuesdays at the square.

Inexpensive imported wine, cheese, olive oils, nuts, rice, canned goods. Love their olives, artichoke hearts. For me it’s the inexpensive imported goods, not the TJ stuff

The cheese selection is amazing. I will go out of my way for the fresh flowers and the toffee. And the best face cream, and some prepackaged food for us single people is good.

They have great produce and flowers. I believe their niche is small portions of prepared/frozen food for people who don’t cook. As far as prepared food goes it’s good. Everybody is different.

It’s generational. Their processed food tastes better than prepackaged processed food from anywhere else. Hard to believe you didn’t see fresh food because their produce and meat departments are usually exceptional. Their seasoning selection is amazing. Their prepackaged frozen meals are so high in sodium it’s actually really scary. I’m in Niagara and frequent Buffalo for specific items (cheese & chocolate pretzels) 😂

I shop there for flowers but I’ve discovered some of their food gives me stomach aches 😩. Not worth it.

There’s a lot of snack food and frozen convenience food there. Produce is lousy. Not worth the parking hassles, IMO

I completely agree. It just seems like a lot of packaged junk. I’m sure some of it tastes good, but it’s not the healthiest place to shop

I like it as a single person who can buy things geared for single ppl ( as opposed to huge quantities at Costco). Would I drive over the border into another state? NOOOOO. 😊
