I randomly remembered this hack going viral a couple years ago and I wanted to try it again… The idea is that misting water on top of dry shampoo somehow gives you better results. Visually, I do notice less separation on the side that I sprayed with water, but to be fair the other side had more separation to begin with so that could be why. To the touch, I actually did notice a difference- there was less residue and just a “cleaner” feel, even though spraying water on your roots doesn’t clean them. I saw @sciencemeetscosmetics share a theory when the micellar water hack was going around that the improvement seen could actually have something to do with blow drying potentially removing the micelles from our hair. Now that’s making me wonder if that’s really what is going on here? Longer blow drying required to dry the wet hair = somehow more residue removed? If any chemists happen to be reading this- what do you think? #haircare #hairhacks #hairhack #dryshampoo
