i wonder why your discard did that 🤔 maybe it was really hungry. when mine sits for a while it gets quite a bit of liquid on top. when I do 1:1 ratio it can get watery. I started feeding 10g starter, 50 water and 70 flour. I haven't had my discard get runny again though!

I think your regular sourdough is fine if its hungry. if you just fed, should be thicker. ive seen like mustard consistency when feeding

Your starter does look fine. But that’s very weird that your discard looked like that. I have never seen discard look that thin before. My discard looks like your starter currently does here, maybe even a little thicker, but I keep my actual starter very thick because that’s my preference.
