@hashiwarriornutritionist: If you still have Hashimoto’s symptoms…you still have a problem. 😤 Here is why TSH is not enough: 1. Most practitioners use an extremely broad range. This range does not always translate into *feeling* better 2. Your active thyroid hormone (t3) may not be adequate or being used efficiently…things like restrictive diets, stress, other hormones can impact your T3– this is greatly influenced by nutrition and lifestyle 3. High thyroid antibodies have been associated with poor quality of life 4. You may have other common hormonal issues such as insulin resistance, leptin resistance, or estrogen/progesterone issues #hashimotosthyroiditis #hashimotosdietitian #hypothyroidism #hashiwarrior #hashimotos
as a person with hashimotos is it really recommended going gluten free?

I got the diagnosis at a very young age and just got a prescription for medication and absolutely NO explanation about what is actually is and i didn’t know the way i feel is actually not normal until i started trying to understand what hasimoto actually is and what it can do and how to „help“ it.

About 2 yrs ago, my TSH was 9.5. I was so tired sleeping 15 hrs a day feeling like I got maybe 30 mins. of sleep depressed couldn’t function didn’t know what was going on and my original doc told me well, it’s not that bad so you don’t really need meds & you seem fine… you should try the natural route 1st, like weight lose but if you feel it would be helpful we can start at a low dose.. I swapped doc my next blood draw I ended up at a 74 😭😭😭 Someone was finally concerned and started digging deeper

Every doctor I've had. One told me I was tired because I have cats. Another told me hashimotos doesn't have symptoms.

My 11-year-old daughter has sky high antibodies and a ton of symptoms but the endo said it can’t be her thyroid because she has symptoms of “both high and low”

I have come to the conclusion they really don’t know how to treat Hashimotos or thyroid issues. Hashimotos lady here you have to be your own doctor

I got told i didnt have Hashimoto's bc my antibodies dropped- gluten/dairy free, take LDN for inflammation.... black seed oil, sea moss, , etc..... Then i was refused a referral for an endocrinologist to assess my thyroid nodule and monitored.
