Not surprised at all they didn’t buy the IP. CT resident here and everyone just went for the location. Beer was very mediocre.

I’m so glad the west haven location fell through, owner of Jimmie’s, next to where nebco was trying to move kept filing injunctions with the city to delay it, and it worked! lol Branford is a way better location too if you ask me

NEBCO needed to expand so that they could expand their production. They’ve been trying to expand in various different locations for years but they fell through. Stony Creek was known for the location not for their beer.

NEBCO is CT. So happy for them. Stony Creek IP respectfully isn’t good. The location is perfect. IST is a steady release annually- the BA version and variants are wonderful. Also honorable mention to Gandhi Bot aka G Bot

Curious as to what you think about brewery’s like Elicit which is also in CT. They have expanded two locations in the past three years, but as someone who lives in the town of the original brewery I never see their beer in any store anywhere other than their taprooms. Is that a sustainable model?

Local here. Stony Creek was terrible beer in a great location. Nebco is great beer behind a car dealership. This is great. Supreme Seafood is going to the same location. This is huge.

This is a huge upgrade for that location. NEBCo is ready for a bigger spot, and SC had a premium location but never backed it up with premium beer.

Woah, actually kinda insane. NebCo was a pioneer in CT Craft and Sea Hag was my first “real” beer. Wondering why SC exited? Think it was the economics of it all?

NEBCO is def the best in CT. Sea Hag is a classic, Fuzzy, Stout, GBot. And Counterweight started from one of their brewers and that brewery is pretty good too.

Nebco beer at the Stony Creek location is a dream come true. Nebco has been trying to add a waterside location for a while now, this will be great for them.
