🛑 Stop buying store bought bread. Snag my sourdough starter at jakewidmann.com (link in bio), or wait a few days and I’ll share with you how to make your own. I’m not getting rich off selling my own dehydrated sourdough starter. It’s mostly to save you the trouble and time of having to make your own. If you want my proven already active (dehydrated) starter, cool. If not, I’ll show you how to make your own in a few days. Process to rehydrate my starter, once you receive it, below! Day 1: Add one full packet of sourdough starter to your jar. Add 2 tosp water, stir to combine. Let it sit for 4-5 hours. Add in 2 tbsp flour and 2 tosp water. Stir to combine-let rest overnight . Day 2: Feed with 2 tosp flour and 1.5 tosp water. Stir to combine- let rest overnight. Day 3: Feed with one heaping 1/4 cup flour and 3 tosp water. Stir to combine-let rest overnight. Day 4: Feed with one heaping 1/4 cup flour and 3 tosp water. Stir to combine-let rest overnight. Day 5: It should be ready to bake with by now! If it isn’t doubling in size just yet...discard all but 100 grams of your starter. Feed with 100 grams of flour and 100 grams of water. Let rest overnight.
