here is the thing with marxist socialism. its grandois when compared to dem socialism. democratic socialism is about implementing small moves like health care programs and control on corporations. well Marxist is a world wide revolution and we get an utopia. so we shouldn't be hating on democratic socialists. they are the moves.

Democratic Socialism is just Capitalism co-opting the term "Socialism", to appease and placate the immediate citizenry, while still exploiting them (to a lesser degree) but exporting the majority of their exploitation to the global south. It's just "kinder Capitalism".

My controversial opinion is that government work should be chosen like jury duty, a lot harder to corrupt everyone in the country than a few hundred-few thousand elected officials. And we would obviously need to focus on education so everyone could effectively do the job

This seems disingenuous given that the bill she voted against was a half-baked piece of legislation by Marjorie Taylor Greene. Also, the perfect candidate doesn’t exist. Let’s focus on pushing our representatives to take better positions as opposed to just demonizing them - I don’t think that is an effective strategy.
