I set a 3 day policy and set vacation mode where purchases are still available to be made but they get told it will be longer than normal

I do the same extend the shipping time to 5 or 10 days depending on my vacation length. I always feel like it takes a while for eBay to send sales again after going into vacation mode. So I try not to use it.

I did that for a short vacation - remember you have to make sure you don’t send offers a few days prior to your vacation or else you can’t change the handling time

It's strange to me. Sometimes when I hit vacation mode then undo it. I get a ton of sales. I don't know if it refreshes the listings or what.

as a top rated plus seller i think you have to ship out next day. I use vacation mode. so I don't get dinged
