I think it feels like this for the first year and a half in different ways like sleep regressions/ different changes they gi through. To me 2 1/2 was perfection and now my daughter is 3 1/2 and it's incredible! time of my life with her 💕

If it’s any consolation I have an 18 month old and still feel like I’m winging it 50% of the time 😅

Same experience for me and I have a three week old as well. I’m a second time mom and it still feels overwhelming on the rough days. The bad sleep nights are what make days tough. Trying to take it one day at a time! We got this!

The first two months, is no routine. Just follow her lead! My best advice lol!

My baby is 6 weeks and I feel the exact same way. Sometimes I’m like I finally understand him we got this downnn, then the next day is completely different. I was just telling my sister it’s like a good one day then 2 bad days lol. But at this point we’re just going with the flow. I’m stressing about trying to put my baby on a routine but I realized I can’t do that since every day is different. So we have our usual morning routine (whenever he wakes up and I feel rested) and our nighttime routine (whenever he’s ready for bed)

you’re doing amazing, sweetie! giving up on finding any sort of routine will make things easier. knowing routine will naturally come as she develops also helps. those little girls have a way of teaching us to embrace the chaos with their 4am parties.

Literally same. 17 days with my first newborn. No idea what I’m doing. But I feel this. The good nights and good days make me feel unstoppable then the next day or night I’m like WHAT AM I DOING?! 😭🥹🙃😂

It took me about 4m to implement a routine and then at 6m was when we really started following it. My son THRIVES on routine and it’s helped him so much now at 11m. I think it’s why he sleeps so well too and it made bedtime so easy!

Routines don’t exist until at least 3 months! Just follow baby’s cues and enjoy the ride 🥰

I was sooo itching to start a routine too, I didn’t realize how freshly post-partum I was! I felt like 6 weeks and 12 weeks were both milestones in terms of like, things getting more normal.

I've given up on a routine tbh. all I know is I feed him, change him, love him, talk to him and I know bedtime is usually around 10-11🤷♀️

Yes!! I’m between 3 & 4 weeks FTM and feel like I’m killing it some days and suffering others 😂 I keep reminding myself I’ll miss this stage soon but also can’t wait to be more mobile and not confined to home & a breast feeding pillow
