@sloanemairiofficial: Fandoms— especially the loud corners of them— don't always make room for that understanding. They want clear villains and perfect victims. They want easy anger. And if you are to challenge that, if you dare to humanize someone that they have deemed irredeemable, they turn on you. And this obviously isn’t about the “big bad” villains bc those are made to be disliked. #BookTok #foryoupage #fyp

My friend literally hates a character the moment the character does ONE thing wrong, without thinking about why the character did what they did or their intentions.

Characters are written for us to understand them on an emotional level. Despite if a character may be perceived as a “bad” character that stems from somewhere. For example the beginning of acotar Rhys was portrayed as the villain but we understood what he did why he did it, we then understood that maybe the things he did was bad but it was out of survival. Characters were written for us to emotionally connect with them not to ignore them and their emotions

Based on my interactions It's like battling Bane with the venom But if Bane was dumbass with half-assed reading comprehension and the venom was delusion and copium
