@danieleamartinez: We lost our Bailey girl this week, and our hearts are hurting. Bailey was the dog my husband always dreamed of. I’ll never forget the day I brought her home as a tiny puppy—he was over the moon. From that moment on, she was his girl. She tolerated me at best 😂 but in 2018, something shifted. We found out I was pregnant, and not long after, so was she. We went through that season side by side, both of us carrying babies and nesting in our own way. That’s when I really connected with her, and we built a quiet bond I didn’t expect. She was getting old, and deep down we knew her time was coming… but that didn’t make saying goodbye any easier. She passed at home, with her people around her, and we got to tell her just how loved she was. There’s comfort in knowing that when she crossed the rainbow bridge, she was met by Mallie, our yellow lab, waiting for her on the other side. It doesn’t feel real yet. My husband found himself asking hunter if he fed both dogs today and we can tell Dixie(our other dog) is feeling alone. Run free, Bailey girl you’re no longer sick. You were so loved. Always will be. 🤍🌈
