I'll say this, I am able to wake myself from nightmares & night terrors without screaming. I simply do as you described pull myself out to a lucid dream level & tell myself wake up. But my repetitive dreams were about bricks being neatly stacked all around me in a dark place. 🤷♀️

I've had sleep paralysis but no man that you've just described. I have found that when I sleep with my rosary, I am able to feel it in my hand & pray to calmly awaken.

I’ve had the same repetitive dream since I was a kid after I mentally blacked out for hours. Ever since it’s a black cave with a person in it and there’s a giant rock that breaks everything in its path until I get stuck between it and the wall beside a smaller cave and I die every time…and I know I’m dreaming every time. But I can’t wake from it. I sleepwalk sometimes too….

Yes, night terrors were common for me as a kid, and I’ve not had them as much as an adult. But I can remember times of thinking I saw someone. My son also suffered from night terrors when he was younger as well. 🙏🏻

I don't know about "comforting", but I've seen him. He's terrifying. Usually can't move. I'm grown but I used to think he was Freddy Kruger tryna get me when I was little.

Someone whispered to me for the first time right before awakening from a night terror last year saying “Beware the winged ones”. It was a male energy, I could feel he was always close by. Never felt so comforted and a warmth when he whispered 😌 had nothing quite like that before. It felt important

I've seen shadow people since I was little but never during sleep paralysis oddly. Sleep paralysis was terrifying enough on its own.

I've had SP since I was at least 6. When I was older people expected me to tell them of monsters but I saw a man in a gray suit. He'd sit at the end of my bed and speak to me without words. I saw him in real life and he spoke to me to confirm I'd know it was him. I'd love to know who it is because it traumatized me as a child. It's been so many years since he was present in my dreams..

When I was a kid I always had dreams of a man in a all black suit black hat and u couldn’t see his face and his eyes glew he scared me all the time I couldn’t sleep alone it felt so real
