I hope this series get some parents to rethink doing circumcision on their sons. I'm so glad I did a ton of research before ultimately not doing it.

My husband insisted, I didn’t want to. Since he was a man and his father I agreed only if I could watch and make sure he was okay. I didn’t get to be in there but they had glass windows and opened it so I could. As upset as I was that he was getting a procedure he didn’t understand and the pain he’d never experienced before, he didn’t show any signs of hurt, his doctor was so gentle and it was done so quickly. He didn’t cry at all. The Dr who did his procedure became his pediatrician. He’s healthy and happy but sometimes I still feel guilt. But he never had any issues and I’m thankful for that.

my son was never cut and I am always impressed by how easy it is to care for based on what I had been told. My little brother (cut) was WAY more difficult, had infections etc when he was a baby.

being intact is probably better than being cut (as in risk of infections in early life) but be careful if you have kids with phimosis

I am in arguments at the moment with my husband about being able to pull fire skin back. From me research, it's not something you are supposed to force, he insists, because this is what his mother done to just pull it back as hard as he can. I have said not to, and he hasn't but is he wrong on this

the first time I witnessed this was when we started potty training (i never got peed on during diaper changes yay meee!) and i laughed so hard i scared him. 😅🤣 i did a TON of research before deciding not to have him cut so I knew about this but seeing it was just funny.

we have our baby's next Doctor check up pretty soon but there is a little red line on the underside of his thing going long ways. I thought it could be a little diaper rash but could that be a sign of infection? I'm circumcised so all this 4-skin info is new to me.

maybe you could do a video.about when it does get infected or isn't cleaned properly so people can learn the warning signs and know when to go for help...just an idea..love the series!

My sons are intact and never had issues. They are now 38 & 29. Neither did their intact fathers, grandfathers, or uncles.

I wish my parents had resources like this to make an educated decision. Not that my dad probably would have listened anyway, but if my mom was educated then maybe she’d have put up more of a fight and I wouldn’t have ended up mutilated

All these ppl saying they won’t circumcise their male children- my ex husband ended up being circumcised as a teenager bc his parents didn’t do it when he was a baby. The recovery was awful and he had ugly scars all up it. It’s done for a reason.

Thank you for normalizing having intact baby boys 👏 my son is almost 4yo and I genuinely don't remember noticing the ballooning but he did have regular lil morning 🪵 every time I changed his diaper 😅

this happened to my son every time I went to the GP I was told there's nothing to worry about, it was as he got older & nothing changed the age of 7 and 8 he needed serious operations inside and outside due to the damage it caused he's ok now scaring is awful 😔
