The only tempo relationship I care about is getting through the Act 2 Finale asap so my arm doesn’t fall off bc why did Mozart do us dirty like that 😩

That stuff is for conductors and composers and instrumentalists. If I were conducting a Mozart finale (I am not an opera conductor), it may help me and the orchestra to get between tempi consistently by perceiving metric modulations especially in a professional setting where you don’t have tons of rehearsals with the whole orchestra.
