Here now, lol. Beaches are beautiful, but you have to pay for a day pass, so keep that in mind. There are clean bathrooms available and showers for rinsing. Lots of lifeguards and the beaches aren't as packed as Wildwood and cleaner. Just go to the Wawa and follow to the end of the street, take a left and drive to the end. That's the best spot🤫Sunset Beach is on the bay side, and not for swimming, but the sunsets are breathtaking, and there's tons of stones for kids to dig through and little shops and mini golf. Go an hour before sunset for parking. Washington Square Mall is outdoors, has a great vibe and you can both shop and eat there. It's also located pretty close to the main strip and has mini golf around the corner. Walking in this area is perfect to see the beautiful Victorian houses. If you like antique/eclectic vibes, West End Garage is filled with booths from local vendors, and Tea By The Sea is located within walking distance as well. There's another antique center as soon as you cross the bridge into Cape May on the right. For food, we love Lucky Bones for a tavern. It doesn't look like much, but the food is excellent. Lobster House for seafood(arrive an hour before opening if you're determined to eat there). They also have an option to order outside and eat by the docks. Rusty Nail is outdoors, fun for kids with music, Iccara for Italian or A Ca Mia. Harpoon Henry's is a great way to watch the sunset, or Two Mile Landing but again, early or call ahead for any and all dinner plans, it's really busy this time of year. Mad Batter is great for breakfast/lunch and Beach Plum Farms is like a beautiful farm with great breakfast and lunch foods as well, and we love Dock Mike's. We come down 3 times a year and stay in North Wildwood, but go to Cape May every day. It's my happy place.
