They are asking for the same revenue share that the NBA has between owners and players, it’s a completely reasonable ask and the league is skyrocketing! New tv deal is $200M per year next year!

In my humble, uninformed, opinion 😂 the WNBA players aren’t begging for NBA level pay. Players just want a fair share of the growing pie because for the first time in a long time, people are actually watching. They are packing arenas, breaking viewership records, and sparking debates at dinner tables. Sure, most teams still aren’t profitable. But growth requires investment. Shane Gillis’s ESPYs joke hit harder than most want to admit. A room full of our most accomplished athletes gave one of the biggest round of applause of the night for a completely made up WNBA player. That’s a problem! This is the moment WNBA, pay them like they matter. Or keep pretending you care while the rest of the world moves on without you. Just look back 40 years ago, the NBA was not in the best shape before Magic and Bird. Then came 23! Ok I’m off my soap box now 🫡😂
