swimming with sharks :
the question we really need to ask is...what type of person picks this specific occupation as a career.

I treat people how I would want my grandmother treated! There is not reason to not treat people with respect, kindness, dignity, and professional.

What do you think the problem is? My husband is retired LEO. Is it lack of qualified people applying so departments have to settle? My husband’s department had a rigorous background check, interview process and psychological evaluation process.

They say there’s a few rotten apples in the bunch but when “good cops” see bad behavior and allow it to continue, those “good cops” are just as bad as the bad ones.

No such thing as a "good cop". Even the ones who try to do right, know who the bad ones are, and either can't or won't fix the problem and simply let the system be the way it is.

Yes since cops don't want to do their job, which is to enforce the law, when clearly there is a Malum in se, evil crime with a victim. They would rather enforce the fact that someone is filming in or around a public facility, because they got a call for service or carrying a firearm holstered into a public library in a state that permits the carry of weapons into places like a library. Yet the city of Claremore, Oklahoma would rather violate state preemption law by using private property law at a public library, owned by the city of Claremore. Or the fact that a yet unnamed Claremore PD detective followed an actual attorney to south Tulsa, in order to get Tulsa PD to stop them, threaten the people with arrest if they didn't give up the whereabouts of attorneys Jessica Sexton child with no court order to do so at the time of the stop.

This happened to me during a traffic stop when I was a sergeant off duty and out of uniform. I showed up at the officer’s job in uniform the next day and filled a complaint! He was shocked!

had my work van stolen, cops were like "that's what you get for having a work van" had someone leave me written death threats on my windshield if I parked in front of his house, police said "maybe dont park in front of his house" on a public street that allows parking.

Why do you think cops have blue lives matter stickers stuck on their cars along with the “law enforcement” designation on their license plates? As well as flashing their badge as soon as they get pulled over… cause they know..

I seriously think there should be real life training done like this every 5yrs!! Like undercover boss. Put them in situations like this cop had to go through. Especially cops of color!! I think cops become less compassionate and empathetic the more they stay on the force. This might bring them a lil back.

That’s is the result of officers being over worked and under trained. I am blessed to work for an agency that is so proactive
