DISCLAIMER: I majored in American Sign Language in college, but I am not Deaf. I have no Deaf family. American Sign Language is my second language and I am not 100% fluent by any means. My signing may not be 100% accurate. For better American Sign Language instruction, the best place to learn is from a Deaf person or a CODA, and not a hearing person like me.

love this 💯💪 I'm just getting into asl (thanks fyp, I love it here - asl interpreters, mainly & switched at birth clips) I have wondered since getting interested, why, if an individual is deaf, and they speak, why isn't it like this? (switched at birth is the example in my head/fyp) genuinely curious 😅

I always love seeing others that know ASL, I took 6 years of ASL between highschool and college but I never get to use it. Only a handful of times at work or at local ASL meetups that happened pre covid
