In this last season there are three possible deaths that are gonna happen because it makes sense with the entire narrative: Will dies, Eleven dies or they die both (also it's so obvious one of them have to die, it doesn't matter if any other character dies, it only ends if one of them die)

My theory on how Will might die It turns out Vecna’s body was more damaged from the fight of season four then we thought. Which would lead to him being weaker so he would need a new body and since Will is still connected to the upside down, and Vecna takes him over through that connection and infects his entire body so he can use it for himself and that’s what I think is happening in that scene in the trailer when he’s yelling run

killing will off makes too much of the first two seasons plotlines redundant and also just has a weird vibe with having his entire character from start to finish being endless suffering. it doesn't suit the rest of the show for there to be a character whose just constantly going through it with no reprieve.

Gotta agree that if Will dies. It’ll kill Joyce’s character too. Her going after Will all of season 1 and 2 made her a huge character that everyone loved and enjoyed.
