I don’t get people, hurting the animal won’t magically make them listen to you. You need to build a bond and trust, then you can usually anticipate their behaviour as well and react to it before it even goes wrong. On top of that if the animal trusts you they’ll be more chill too.

Mein Kind (13) sagte gestern beim Eis essen bei Oma, dass Tiere im Sport nichts zu suchen haben, weil sie für die Erfolge des Menschen gequält werden. Ich hatte nie mit ihm darüber gesprochen, lediglich über Zoos mit ihm geredet. Er sah es selbst im Internet und hat sich dagegen ausgesprochen. Gestern erwähnte er es, weil wir eine Sendung sahen, in der Pferde auf der Weide standen. Völlig aus dem nichts für mich und ich war so unfassbar stolz 🥹 Ein Wandel beginnt und er wird lauter werden!

(I do not want to offend you in any way) Horse Riding in general is harmful for the horses. Their bodies are not made to hold a humans weight. Over time there will form a curve where the sattle is. (which is much more pronounced than their sometimes natural one as they usually have a more straighter back) It's hurting the animal and they'll suffer in silence. (just fyi)
