Its important to get tested for Lyme and co-infections . And to get retested sometime about six months after you initially feel you got infected so sorry you were dealing with all this that’s a lot.

I had really bad cat scratch fever which is very similar to lymes. Be careful with getting info on the internet. There is a LOTTTT of misinformation. If you haven’t yet, I would get an infectious disease doctor to manage his treatment if it’s been untreated for some time. But seriously, the internet is filled with terrible info about lines
