I have a character who’s separated himself from most of his emotions and instincts. He looks at things logically because if his emotions and his primordial self ever return his power will start tearing reality apart and allow the orimordisl to scout other realities to feed upon and destroy.

The thing with empathy was taken to the extreme in Eragon. There a little girl was accidentally cursed by Eragon to always feel the grief of others around her and have the need to shoulder their suffering or to prevent them from experiencing it. In a warband. She almost constantly was on the verge of losing her mind

I have 2 characters that 3 of these can/have applied to. 1 is an immortal with fire that can be uncontrollable when she's emotional, and the other is a dark fae who i might give the touch of death to. shes in a physical relationship with the immortal so doesn't have to worry about being careful around her, thanks for the idea, these are all great 🖤
