So, you are saying we christians like to have our cake and eat it too. God did take a stand against slavery in a pretty dramatic way. Athiest hardly use that example. They prefer to dig around and find more obscure passages. A whole book in the bible is about freeing slaves. The abolitionist movement in the US use that example in the bible to justify the freedom of black slaves. The more obscure passages in the bible you point to, pro slavery folks use to try and justify slavery. It is interpretation. God's morality is open to interpretation. How you interpret God's morality reveals your morality.
