The wnba athletes are only getting payed roughly 9.3% or revenue from the league. Athough some of what you’re saying may be true, this is not what they are fighting for. With the wnbas rapid increase and popularity this upcoming year, the overall revenue is increasing. The league wants to pay them on a fixed salary, meaning that if the league grows there pay will stay the same. The athletes are advocating for a fluctuated salary based on the overall revenue year to year. Not just what the men make.

2019 revenue 100m players 10% net los of $10m 2024 revenue of 200m players 10% net loss of 50m so what 2030 revenue of 800m players want 20% and still will likely be a net loss. Cost to keep the league running goes up with more teams, more attendance etc. 2019 to 2024 expeces (less payroll) went from $8m per team to 20m

Women complain in the comments and they literally don’t watch or attend any wnba game much less buy jerseys or any merchandise. I support the wnba more than most women 😅. That’s the sad part their audience is mostly former players and their families and friends. If women spent even 25% of what they spend on makeup and hair the league would gross a billion easy.

So wrong first of all they get 9%, anywhere between 9 and 10% of the revenue. second of all the WNBA is the second most money money making sport for women. 200 million a year the first is the world soccer league for women which makes 215 million a year. the owners are making millions off of their teams per year . You so wrong. the revenue that is made by these women go straight to the investors first that's the NBA that's Nike and that's Wilson and other investors so if the NBA chooses to put money back in their investment it's because they know they have a good deal. Why Hate on progress. The New Media deals the new TV deals the new expansion teams everything is being increased why not there revenue.

If they treated the WNBA like a real business then NBA stops subsidizing the league. WNBA downsize to operate within there means. Any player that doesn't like it is free to seek other employment playing this kids game. This is a privilege not a right.
