I talked to both of these women in the video. I don't have the migraines but I have other alarming symptoms. At what point will doctors refer me to a surgeon? They want to try meds first but I see that making things worse as meds have already destroyed my life.

My son has Chiari Malformation and has had 8 brain surgeries due to it. It’s also caused Syringohydromyelia which caused him to have 2 spinal surgeries. He now has neuropathy, spinal cord damage and so much more. Chiari is horrible and I wish there was more known about it.

In animal medicine, chiari malformations are most common in small or toy breed canines. For example Yorkies (Yorkshure Terriers), Chihuahuas, or anything teacup related. MRI is our best chance for diagnosis and the same procedure, a sub occipital craniectomy, is recommended.

Do you believe that some chiari cases are due to possible csf leak somewhere lower down in the spine? I think I’m dealing with chiari zero or at least a blockage of fluid causing my symptoms.
