I have used a quote in the past for a bulletin board like this! I used my Cricut to cut the letters, since I can control the size! I have also printed my students' names on mason jars and connected them with twine.

I have also used burlap rolls and twisted as I staple for the border leaving more room for letters! Normally 1.5 inches for the width.

Cover the whole thing with the same color bulletin board paper, maybe black to match your borders, then a thin border - or none at all - and come up with a cute class catch phrase or motto and leave it there all year - that’s such a weird section so I wouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel… just one and done. Or take the diemensions of it and create a personalized poster in Canva and have it printed and just attach it across the whole thing. No more seams or borders!
