she was one of my favorite witches on this app. can't believe she went out this way. I cannot imagine what her daughter went through. I hope that poor child will be able to heal from this trauma 💔 RIP Ashlee you will be greatly missed my sister 🕊

Thank you for that. I got away 6 yrs ago, and I choose to remain free from a relationship. I don't ever want to go thru that again. The eyes going black, is something I will never forget. I'm happier spending time w/friends/family - that's all I need. And my cats, Sydney n Sophie!💕

The only man who ever made me feel safe was my father. Seeking that in other men turned out to be DV in every relationship. I gave up 10 years ago and have been working on me and ways to feel safe without men, and am better for it. Thank you for posting this message. 🥰

It took a plane ticket and 1000 miles for me to get away from mine. I know you’ll never stop sharing and I’m grateful bc storytelling saves people by giving them strength and making them feel less alone. So sad to hear the news of Ashlee.

@Karen Elizabeth: My last ( & I mean n terns of timeframe as well as in definition) was 90% uncannily identical to yours. The 2 previous to that one were abusive but both in very different ways. #1 was due to his manic depressive alcoholism and #2 due to his lying about his sexuality. Interesting to note that these were my adult relationships when I should have been wiser.

just 2 days ago. I had a couple of drinks, went to neighbors house, met a man. kinda talking and could have potential. then he says it, " I'm a violent man, I have to go to court and may have to go to jail". I wasn't thinking to much on it, as I've known plenty of violent men, that were never in dv cycles. then I talked to my friend who knows his ex. NOPE NOPE NOPE.i see the pattern, I just wanted to hope I could find something, anything..shutting that shit down now.

As a DV survivor I also will not do things such as pump gas late at night alone. I take my oldest son who is 18 with me to the store because after being constantly harassed and assaulted by men, I just refuse to be a victim.
