You get this on oil rigs with much bigger sea birds. They come across by following the supply vessels but forget to follow the supply vessels to shore so they are just stuck on the rig for two weeks until the next one comes.

I’m about to make everyone cry. In 2016 I was in the navy and we were off the coast of North Carolina running a month long exercise. An entire flock of several hundred little yellow birds I’m guessing flew into the path of our active radar. And all of them dropped onto the deck of the ship everywhere. It broke my heart having to sweep them up. We had one that was barely alive that we kept on forward lookout in an all weather coat. But it succumb to what happened to it after a few days. I still think about that to this day.
