My pool has gone green zero times this year my dad owned a pool business since 2004 and my pool is the test pool for new products currently running a Hayward sand filter with glass media. Black and decker pump and a Hayward salt system and a Hayward 300k btu heater. If I wanna shock the pool I go over and flip a switch. I dump in my start up chemicals and get my ph and alkalinity where I want it and I don’t have too touch it during the summer expect backwashing every couple weeks and flipping the switch to shock it.

If your CYA gets too high the chlorine is ineffective, using these continuously will make the CYA too high. Be sure to test and make sure to keep CYA between 30-50 ppm

I’m going to try a bucket. It’s hard to find 99% anymore this is cheaper than the 64% at the pool store. From one pool boy to another you know your self what cheap chemicals do to a pool liner!

If your PH is high, it’ll go green as well…. If your chemicals are correctly maintained add a pool Rx and save yourself the headaches! Trust me!
