Poland has long been a country rooted in Catholic and traditional values. In recent years, growing concerns have been raised about illegal immigration and its impact on public safety. Shocking crimes — such as the tragic case of a young woman who was reportedly raped and brutally assaulted — have deeply disturbed the nation and raised questions about how safe our streets really are. Many Polish citizens feel that, in some cases, the needs of migrants are prioritized over the needs of native Poles — people who have worked hard and paid taxes their entire lives. It often seems as though native citizens are placed in the background, while newcomers receive extensive support, sometimes at the taxpayers’ expense. It is also worth noting that when Poles emigrate to other countries, they tend to integrate, work hard, and contribute to the local economy without expecting special treatment. In contrast, some groups of migrants — particularly from Ukraine — are seen by some as imposing their own customs too strongly, as if forgetting that they are guests in a foreign country. Of course, it’s important not to generalize or blame entire groups for the actions of a few. But a balanced and fair approach is necessary — one that ensures safety, respect, and justice for both Polish citizens and those who genuinely wish to live and work here responsibly.
