I don’t think black businesses need VC money. I think sorority like groups should be created for black women to connect. These women can become ambassadors. I don’t believe ami cole was loud enough. I also think black owned businesses should 100% target other audiences especially when the product is universal. Do trade shows etc. The best brand I can think of is danessa myricks. Danessa is always on live connecting audiences and showcasing her products - I believe ami Cole could have utilised socials better

The answer is simple. Stop trying to do business the way "they" have been traditionally doing it. Stay Local as far as a physical location is concerned, and utilize the internet for building more of a Direct to consumer pipeline if you want to go wide. Also folks need to stop thinking that the American Market is the only market to do business in.

Fearless Fund even tried to start a nonprofit to help minority women get venture ready. DEI caused that entire program to get dismantled. Resources created for us get stripped. We have to be in the rooms that don’t look like us and take notes, then apply those efforts to our own business.
