I was having extreme pain in my feet. A podiatrist told me that soft insoles will ruin your feet. She suggested PowerStep orthotic insoles. I have used them for years. I will use nothing else.

This is bad for your feet. You want support for your arches. Which means it is required to be hard with some cushion for comfort. If you can force it down with your thumb, then it's too soft. Buy this if you like knee and lower back pain.

That will make you weak and dependent on that while making problems worse. get stronger feet by using barefoot minimalist shoes and all that goes away
